The monolithic figure, identified as Avalokiteshvara by the small figure sitting in dyana mudra (meditation gesture) in front of her mop of hair, stands upright and frontally in front of the viewer.
Originally it held attributes in her hands, which, including their stone supports, are missing today.
With her upper body bare, she is dressed in a patterned dhoti (wrap-around skirt) that falls from the hips down to ankle length and is held in place by a decorated, wide belt.
The piled-up hairstyle with the typical receding hairline at the front and decorative curls at the sides is created from vertical curls.
